Iris Strubegger
Iris Strubegger (born July 21, 1984 in Schwarzach im Pongau , Salzburg ) is an Austrian model .
Life
In 2001 she was in New York City for three months as part of a student exchange and was discovered there by agent Yannis Nikolaou. The following year she did test recordings for a casting and signed her first contract with Elite Model Management . Her career began with a catwalk .
It ran for Calvin Klein for the S / S 03 season. In January 2003 she was booked for her first campaign. She became the face for Armani Collezioni by Giorgio Armani . A year later, she decided to stop modeling temporarily in order to complete her degree in digital television at the University of Applied Sciences in Puch . But in 2007 she made a comeback, she signed for Supreme Management in New York and for Women Management in Paris and Milan. She was booked for Pop by Russell March, the casting director for Prada and Miu Miu . She was also often seen on the catwalk. She opened the Valentino and Dries Van Noten shows. In 2008, photographer Steven Meisel took notice of Strubegger and did a photo shoot with her.
In the meantime she has had the opportunity to work with many well-known top photographers in the fashion industry, such as B. Craig McDean, David Sims, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin , Mario Testino , Karl Lagerfeld , Paolo Roversi, Mikael Jansson, Daniel Jackson and Patrick Demarchelier .
For the S / S 09 season she was on almost 70 shows. It was 80 for the A / W 09 season. It ran for Shiatzy Chen, Narciso Rodriguez , Dolce & Gabbana , Alexander McQueen and Sonia Rykiel , among others . She was the face of Balenciaga , Pepe Jeans , Pollini and Dolce & Gabbana , among others . In May 2009 Strubegger became one of the faces of Givenchy with Mariacarla Boscono and Adriana Lima . She is also Valentino's face .
In September 2010 she held a photo shoot with Karl Lagerfeld, some of which were used for the 2011 Pirelli calendar . Strubegger is close friends with Heidi Mount, Enikő Mihalik and Katrin Thormann through their joint collaboration in several campaigns and their stay in New York .
On August 6, 2011, Strubegger married her childhood friend Wolfgang Rottensteiner in the Church of St. Primus am Buchberg in Bischofshofen , Salzburg.
In September 2011 and April 2012 she was on the cover of German Vogue .
