Rebecca-Zarah Mir (born December 23, 1991 in Aachen ) is a German model and television presenter . In 2011, she took second place in the sixth season of the casting show Germany’s Next Top Model .

Private

Rebecca Mir's father Asam is an immigrant from Afghanistan , her mother Mareike is German . She has a brother two years older and a sister thirteen years younger and lived with her mother in Monschau-Imgenbroich near Aachen until 2012 . She attended the St. Michael High School in Monschau. From December 2011 to April 2012 she was in a relationship with the series actor Sebastian Deyle . In August 2012 she announced that she was in a relationship with her let's dance partner Massimo Sinató . Mir and Sinató were married on June 27, 2015 in Sicily .

Participation in Germany's Next Top Model

In 2010 Mir reapplied for Germany's Next Top Model after failing in the casting for the fifth season a year earlier and then taking part in a six-month model training course in Kerkrade next to school . She was selected with 49 other participants for the first broadcast of the sixth season . During the season, Mir was able to secure orders from the dirndl manufacturer Krüger, among other things . In the final in June 2011 she finished second, ahead of Amelie Klever and behind Jana Beller .

One month after Germany's Next Top Model ended , she ran at Berlin Fashion Week for labels such as Lena Hoschek and Minx and also presented parts of Jorge Gonzalez's collection at the “Chicas Walk”.

In July 2011 she took part in the entertainment program I love Germany , hosted by Jürgen von der Lippe . In August 2011, she reported on the TV program taff about the reality TV format Die Alm .
