Jana Beller (born October 27, 1990 in Omsk , Soviet Union ) is a German model and entrepreneur . In 2011 she won the sixth season of the casting show Germany’s Next Top Model .

Life

Jana Beller comes from a Russian-German family. At the age of seven, she moved with her parents and two older sisters from a village near Omsk to Germany. After attending the Alexander-Lebenstein-Realschule in Haltern am See until 2008, she switched to the Hans Böckler vocational college there . At the same time, she worked in a fashion store for several years. While participating in Germany's Next Top Model , she lived in the Haltern district of Lippramsdorf . In November 2014, it opened with her partner as franchises -Nehmerin of baked goods their first bakery -Filiale in Munich Central Station. She opened her fourth branch in March 2016 in Bochum .

Model career

In July 2009, the then 18-year-old Beller was seen in an episode of the documentary series 30 Minuten Deutschland ( girls dreams - morning math, midday model ; RTL ), which accompanied an open model casting by a Berlin agency.

In 2011, the 1.76 m tall Beller took part in the sixth season of Germany's Next Top Model , for which 13,374 candidates had applied. Beller, who says she had no modeling experience, was one of the 50 preselected applicants, whose number fell to three finalists in the following 15 programs. The weekly TV show broadcast by the private broadcaster ProSieben took the participants to London , Los Angeles , Las Vegas , Brazil and the Bahamas, among others . During this time, Beller secured advertising contracts with Emmi AG , the mineral water brand Evian and Gillette .

In the finale, which took place on June 9, 2011 in Cologne's Lanxess Arena as a live show in front of around 15,000 visitors, the jury around presenter Heidi Klum , creative director Thomas Hayo and fashion designer Thomas Rath selected the favored Beller as the winner of the casting show. The 20-year-old prevailed against Rebecca Mir and Amelie Klever , who took second and third place. Like the previous winners, Beller was featured on the cover of the German-language lifestyle magazine Cosmopolitan (August issue). She also received prize money of 100,000 euros and acceptance for advertising campaigns worth 300,000 euros.

In July 2011, she canceled several appointments for Berlin Fashion Week. Then she moved from the agency ONE eins in Odenthal, which belongs to Heidi Klum's father Günther, to Louisa Models in Munich. Since 2012 she has been represented by View Management in Barcelona and Elite Model Management in London. After changing the agency, Beller was the face of the make-up company Misslyn and presented himself as a photo model in magazines such as the Greek Cosmopolitan and InStyle . In August 2012 Jana Beller was in front of the camera for Hugo Boss . She also works for the Esprit clothing line .
