Stefanie Giesinger (born August 27, 1996 in Kaiserslautern ) is a German model . In 2014 she won the ninth season of the casting show Germany’s Next Top Model .

Life

Giesinger's Russian-German parents immigrated to Germany in 1995 as repatriates from Siberia . She attended the "Gymnasium am Rittersberg" in Kaiserslautern . She has been in a relationship with the British YouTuber Marcus Butler since 2016 .

Germany's Next Topmodel

At the age of 17, the 1.77 meter tall student took part in the ninth season of Germany's Next Top Model , which was broadcast on ProSieben from February 2014 . Over 15,000 candidates applied. Giesinger was one of the seventy selected applicants who were invited by the jury around Heidi Klum , Thomas Hayo and Wolfgang Joop to a casting at the Tempodrom in Berlin . She had already been selected for an Opel commercial during the ongoing competition . On May 8, 2014 she won the final during the live show in Cologne's Lanxess Arena .

After Germany's Next Top Model

In June 2014 she was on the cover of the German Cosmopolitan . Like other participants in the season, she received a two-year contract from Günther Klum's model agency ONEeins , which she did not renew. In 2014 Giesinger took part in the film Der Nanny by Matthias Schweighöfer , which was released in 2015. In February 2016 Giesinger could be seen in the music video for the single 80 million by Max Giesinger , which entered the German charts in early April 2016. She is also active in social media and represents the L'Oréal brand .

Since 2018 the drugstore chain dm has been marketing Giesinger's face care line "MOЙ". The name comes from Russian and means "mine". Also in 2018 she was named Idol of the Year at the About You Awards .

She is under contract with the modeling agency Muse Model Management in New York.
