Alisar Ailabouni (born March 21, 1989 in Damascus , Syria ) is an Austrian model of Syrian descent from Mattighofen . In 2010 she won the fifth season of the casting show Germany’s Next Top Model .

Life

Alisar Ailabouni is a native of Syria. When she was seven months old, her parents moved to Austria. She grew up in Amstetten and Schörfling am Attersee , where she also attended secondary school. Ailabouni played basketball and made it to the Austrian U-16 national team. After secondary school, she began training at the college for economic professions in Bad Ischl . Later she worked as a saleswoman. At the beginning of 2010, Ailabouni applied for the open casting of the television program Germany's Next Topmodel in Cologne , in which over 2000 applicants participated. Until then, she had no modeling experience.

In the finale of the fifth season, which took place on June 10, 2010 in Cologne's Lanxess Arena as a live show in front of almost 15,000 guests, the jury selected the favored Ailabouni as the winner of the casting show. She is the first winner of Germany's Next Top Model who is not from Germany, and after Sara Nuru the second winner with a migration background . While participating, she was able to work for Sony Ericsson and Ella Singh, among others . The Austrian was featured on the cover of the July issue of the German-language Cosmopolitan with her victory and appeared in advertising campaigns by C&A , Gillette and Maybelline .

She prematurely terminated the contract with ONEeins , the agency marketing the participants of Germany's Next Topmodel , and switched to Eskimo Models, City Models in Paris , Elite Models in Milan , Elite Models in London , PARS Management Germany and Mc2 Models in New York . Ailabouni had moved to Munich shortly after her victory . In September 2011 it ran at London Fashion Week . In 2012, Alisar was booked by 17 different fashion labels for New York Fashion Week .

In 2014, Ailabouni was involved in winning another Heidi Klum show. She modeled for the Season 13 winner of Project Runway .
