Julia Spicker (* in Braunau am Inn ) is an Austrian fashion and portrait photographer . She is particularly known for her lascivious and provocative depictions of women.

life and work

The photographer Julia Spicker, who comes from Upper Austria, worked for several years as an assistant in various photo studios in Vienna and completed the photography college at the Höhere Graphische Bundes-Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt . Since 2009 she has been working as a freelance photographer specializing in fashion, advertising and portraits.

The personalities she photographed include the Austrian actresses Nina Proll , Nora von Waldstätten and Edith Malovčić (known as a singer-songwriter as Madita ), opera singer Lena Belkina , model, actress, singer and ballet dancer Eveline Hall , slalom Olympic champion Julia Dujmovits , star photographer Erich Lessing , as well as the top models Emma Heming-Willis , Helena Severin, Lena Gercke , Patrick Kafka and Gerhard Freidl .

Julia Spicker is responsible for a number of editorials for magazines (including Diva , Wienerin , Woman , Look Magazin, and the weekend supplement Schaufenster der Presse ). Her commercial work includes campaigns for Wolford , Thermalbad Vöslau, Goldenes Quartier Vienna, Brühl, Silhouette glasses, Briolett make-up brushes, Lili Radu , Scarosso Italia , hair stylist Patrizia Grecht , DM drugstore lookbook, young farmers calendar and much more

For the Puls 4 TV series Austria's Next Topmodel , she led several photo shoots with the budding top models.

In 2013 Julia Spicker was responsible for the campaign for the Vienna Awards for Fashion and Lifestyle , for which she reinterpreted the life of Empress Elisabeth of Austria-Hungary and staged top model (and wife of Bruce Willis) Emma Heming-Willis as Sisi.

The following year she herself received the prestigious Vienna Fashion Award for Best Photographer - as the first woman in this category.
