Julian Barratt
Julian Barratt (born May 4, 1968 in Leeds , England ) is an English comedian , actor and musician .
The Mighty Boosh
Barratt co-founded the comedy group The Mighty Boosh with Noel Fielding in 1998 . With their characters Vince Noir (Fielding) and Howard Moon (Barrat), which they played in several plays, radio plays and a television series of the same name, the two comedians, actors and authors achieved notoriety and cult status. The two met at one of Barratt's first appearances.
Other media appearances
Aside from the series The Mighty Boosh , Barratt also has appearances in other television productions, often from Channel 4, such as Nathan Barley , The IT Crowd , AD / BC: A Rock Opera or Garth Marenghi's Darkplace . He continued to star alongside Simon Pegg in the British comedy series Asylum . In 2013 he played a leading role in Ben Wheatley's historical thriller A Field in England .
Julian Barratt is also active as a theater director , including his black- humored play Curtains .
Personal
Barratt is a trained and versatile musician. He describes himself as a fanatical jazz musician and played in a band called Groove Solution in the 1990s . Barrat has also played with Chris Corner in his solo project IAMX . He composes all of the music for The Mighty Boosh .
Similar to his character in the series, Barratt prefers to stay at home and read a book instead of going out in public. He is currently in a relationship with comedian Julia Davis.
