Julian Raymond

Julian Raymond is an American songwriter , keyboard player and record producer . He was best known as the longtime producer of the hard rock band Cheap Trick .

He worked closely with Glen Campbell , who has been struggling with the consequences of Alzheimer's disease for several years . With him he produced both the comeback album Meet Glen Campbell (2008), the 2011 album Ghost on the Canvas and the 2014 album See You There , which is based on the same session as its predecessor. In 2012 he was also given the honor of providing the musical arrangement for the Grammy Awards show . In the same year Campbell received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences . With him he co-wrote the song I'm Not Gonna Miss You , a film song for the documentary Glen Campbell: I'll Be Me (2014). With this song he and Raymond won a Grammy Award for best country song . In addition, both were nominated for an Oscar at the 2015 Academy Awards. Since Campbell is unlikely to appear in public again, Tim McGraw took over the appearance at the Academy Awards.

As an A&R agent, Raymond worked for Capitol Records for several years . Other artists Julian Raymond has worked with include Jennifer Nettles , Shawn Mullins , Fastball , Albert Lee , Fleetwood Mac and the Kottonmouth Kings .
