Julian Schmutz (born February 28, 1994 in Bern ) is a Swiss ice hockey player who has been under contract with the SCL Tigers of the National League since 2019 .
Career
Julian Schmutz played for the professional team of SC Bern from the 2011/12 season . In his youth he played for the U20 juniors of the same club.
He spent the 2014/15 season with a B license with partner team EHC Visp , before moving permanently there for the following season. After his team left the NLB playoffs, he played his first game on March 5, 2016 for EHC Biel , where he has been under contract since the 2016/17 season. He was recognized as an “outstanding climber” in the 2016/17 NLA qualification. After a long season he switched to the SCL Tigers for the 2019/20 season .
National team
He was appointed to the senior national team for the first time in February 2017.
