During this period he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2006 in the second round as a total of 49th player by the Canadiens de Montréal . With their farm team Hamilton Bulldogs he was a regular player in the American Hockey League for three years from the 2008/09 season . He also played a total of 21 games in the National Hockey League for the Canadiens de Montréal during this period . In February 2011, the center was given to the Atlanta Thrashers , where he had a regular place in the NHL until the end of the 2010/11 season, along with a four-round vote for the 2011 NHL Entry Draft in exchange for Brent Sopel and Nigel Dawes . In twelve games he scored one goal and one assist for the Georgia team. He also played two games for Atlanta's AHL farm team Chicago Wolves , where he prepared a goal.

A month later, the Californians also put him on the waiver list, so that the striker then returned to the organization of the Winnipeg Jets.
In the 2013/14 season he was active for Oulun Kärpät in the Finnish Liiga and won the Finnish championship with Oulun . He was one of the top performers in the team and was then signed by HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk from the Continental Hockey League before he returned to Kärpät in February 2015 and won another Finnish championship two months later. After spending four seasons in Russia, two each in the jersey of HK Sotschi and HK Spartak Moscow , he moved to Switzerland to the SCL Tigers in July 2019 .
