Samuel Erni (born April 9, 1991 in Frauenfeld ) is a Swiss ice hockey player who has been under contract with the SCL Tigers in the National League since the 2017/18 season .

Career

Erni learned to play ice hockey at the age of five at the ice hockey club in his hometown, the EHC Frauenfeld . In 2007 he switched to the offspring of the PIKES EHC Oberthurgau , for whom he was in the first team in the same season, in the second division. This was followed by assignments in various teams, for example for the U20 juniors of EV Zug or EHC Winterthur , as well as first division assignments for SC Weinfelden . In the 2009/10 season Erni made his National League B debut at HC Thurgau . In the following 2010/11 season he made his first appearances in the top division of Switzerland , wearing the EV Zug jersey. Over the years, Erni was able to establish himself more and more in the first team of EV Zug and matured into a regular player. For the 2017/18 season , Erni moved from EVZ to the SCL Tigers in Emmental .

International

At the Slovakia Cup 2015 Erni made his debut for the Swiss national team .
