Claudio Cadonau (born July 4, 1988 in Zurich ) is a Swiss ice hockey player who has been under contract with the SCL Tigers in the National League since 2018 .
Career
Claudio Cadonau began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth of the GCK Lions , for whose professional team he made his debut in the National League B in the 2006/07 season . In the following season, the defender completed a total of 13 games for the ZSC Lions from the National League A , with which he became Swiss champions for the first time in his career . However, he spent most of the season in the National League B with the Swiss U20 national ice hockey team and the GCK Lions. In the 2008/09 season Cadonau was a template in 25 games for the ZSC Lions, with which he won the newly founded Champions Hockey League . In the final he prevailed with his team against HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk from the Continental Hockey League . Again, however, he played mainly for the GCK Lions in the NLB, where he also spent the 2009/10 season. As a loan player he also played for Lausanne HC in the NLB.
In the 2010/11 season Cadonau was on the ice at HC Thurgau in the NLB. He also played nine games on loan for league rivals SC Langenthal , to which he permanently moved for the 2011/12 season. From the 2013/14 season he played for EHC Biel before returning to SC Langenthal for three years in 2015.
After three years with the SCL in the second division, Cadonau moved to the SCL Tigers in the first-class National League for the 2018/19 season .
