Juliane Anike Frederikke Martha Henningsen (born July 29, 1984 in Ilulissat ) is a Greenlandic politician ( Inuit Ataqatigiit ).

Life

Juliane Henningsen is the daughter of the painter Niels Henningsen and the kitchen assistant Ellen Kruse. From 1990 to 2001 she attended Mathias Storch's Atuarfik in Ilulissat. She then spent a year at Ågård Efterskole in Egtved . In Aasiaat , she obtained her student resumption in 2005 and then began studying at Grønlands Universitet , which she paused because of her political career.

She ran in the 2005 general election and entered parliament at the age of 21. In the 2007 Folketing election she received the most votes of all candidates and became one of the youngest members of the Folketing . In the parliamentary elections in Greenland in 2009 she was able to defend her seat in Inatsisartut . From January to October 2010 she was represented for a few months by Sofia Rossen in the Folketing, as she was on parental leave, and she was also on leave in Inatsisartut. In 2011 she decided not to run for the Folketing again. In 2013 she was re-elected in Inatsisartut, as in the 2014 election .

In 2015 she left politics and gave back her parliamentary seat. Instead, she took a job at Halibut Greenland. In 2016 she completed her social science degree with a bachelor's degree. In 2017 she became a director at Arctic Circle Business.
