Julie Ege

Julie Ege (born November 12, 1943 as Julie Dzuli in Sandnes , † April 29, 2008 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian film actress .

biography

Julie Ege started her career as a participant in beauty pageants and participated in the Miss Norway and Miss Universe elections. She later posed for the penthouse . In 1967 she went to England as an au pair to improve her language skills; she also attended a language school for this purpose.

She made her film debut in the Norwegian low-budget production Stompa til Sjøs , but her career only really took off in England. She earned a role in the 1969 James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service . Other films followed, including on the side of Marty Feldman , Jon Finch and Jack Palance . During the 1970s she lived for many years in addition to Tony Bramwell , a former roadie of the Beatles and Brian May , the guitarist of the rock band Queen . She ended her film career in the mid-1970s and moved back to Norway. There she appeared in the theater, including in a production of The Rocky Horror Show , before she gave up acting completely and trained as a nurse .

In an interview with a Norwegian magazine in October 2002, she stated that she had lung cancer after successfully receiving treatment for breast cancer in 1986 .

Ege was divorced twice and most recently lived in Oslo, where she worked as a nurse until her death. She leaves two daughters.
