Julien Guiomar

Julien Guiomar (born May 3, 1928 in Morlaix , † November 22, 2010 in Monpazier ) was a French actor .

Live and act

After the end of the Second World War, Guiomar received acting lessons from Pierre Renoir and René Simon at the Cours Simon . After small roles in Parisian suburban stages, he started his first engagement in Colmar .

Back in Paris in 1952 he celebrated his first success at the Théâtre de l'Œuvre with a stage version of the novel The Power and the Glory by Graham Greene , then also in a television version.

He later belonged to the Ensemble des Théâtre National Populaire . Tours have taken him to the Soviet Union and South America, among others. Guiomar did not appear in the cinema until the mid-1960s. He regularly impersonated bizarre characters, mostly in comedies. In the chest or the club he was the opponent of Louis de Funès as the criminal food manufacturer Tricatel. In total he worked on more than 100 film and television productions.
