Julien Ughetto (born May 6, 1981 in Die ) is a former French biathlete .

Julien Ughetto lives in Villard-de-Lans and works as a physiotherapist. He started for GUC Grenoble Ski Nordique and was trained by Pascal Etienne , Gilles Marguet and Jean Pierre Amat . He has been biathlon since 1998, and in the following year he was promoted to the French national team. The Frenchman has competed in a number of international junior races since 2001. The highlights were the 2001 European Junior Championships in Haute-Maurienne , where Ughetto won the silver medal with Yann Debayle , Sylvain Mouton and Sébastien Zeno behind the relay from Russia. He was also 12th in the individual, 18th in the sprint and 20th in the pursuit. The Junior World Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk that same year went less well . In the individual races, the Frenchman could never place better than Ran 35, with the relay he missed a medal in fourth.

Ughetto made his debut in 2003 in Forni Avoltri when he finished sixth in a sprint race in the European Biathlon Cup . This series of competitions should be his main field of activity from now on. The 2004/05 season was particularly successful for him here . In Gurnigel he won a sprint race and a super sprint and was second behind Debayle in the pursuit that followed. Even in the race before his victory, he was third in the Langdorf pursuit . Also in his last season he came in eighth place overall. In the Biathlon World Cup Ughetto was used three times, twice in the 2004/05 season in Cesana San Sicario and the season finale of the 2007/08 season at the Holmenkollen in Oslo . His first outing in a sprint was also his best result with 67th place.
