Julius Caesar McMurty works in a factory that produces erasers. He dreams of a career as a rock musician. McMurty falls in love with the factory owner's daughter, Buffer Bidwell, whom he gets closer to.
The relationship causes displeasure with Buffer's father. He bets with McMurty that he can only continue the relationship if he earns $ 100,000 in six months.
McMurty founds the rock band "Hail Caesar", which became successful. He also finds that Buffer's father is involved in arms deals.
Reviews
VideoWoche wrote that the comedy was based on Mark Twain's novella "The Capitoline Venus". Some parts of the story would seem "fetched". The magazine praised the appearing "stars".
