Julius Feifalik
Julius Feifalik (born February 15, 1833 in Znaim , Moravia , † June 30, 1862 in Vienna ) was a Bohemian Germanist and bohemist .
After completing his elementary education in Brno (1850), he began in Vienna jurisprudence to study, but later switched to the study of German and Slavic philology and then received a scholarship for Berlin to continue his studies there on old German literature (1855-1857 ). Returning to Vienna, he got a job as a collaborator at the kk Hofbibliothek in Vienna and died there in 1862 of the consequences of a tuberculosis infection .
He earned particular merit through his endeavors to find forgeries in old Czech literature. Having already with King Wenzel of Bohemia as Minstrels and inauthenticity of the old Bohemian Píseň milostná krále Václava I was busy, he published in 1860 the essay "On the queen Hofer handwriting" in which he Václav Hanka accused that it is in the Koniginhof handwriting to is a fake. Another area of creativity was Moravian folk poetry .
