Julius Günther (politician)

Julius Günther (born August 10, 1824 in Laßwitz , Upper Silesia , † July 15, 1909 in Berlin-Friedenau ) was a German judge and member of parliament.

Life

Günther attended grammar school in Neisse and studied law at the Silesian Friedrich Wilhelms University . In 1844 he became a member of the Corps Borussia Breslau . Since May 1853 he was a court assessor, October 1855 district judge, April 1864 public prosecutor, July 1867 district court director and since October 1879 district court president, as such he was also appointed to the secret senior judicial council.

From 1877 to 1898 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives until 1882 for the constituency of Posen 6 (Fraustadt -Kröben), since 1882 for the constituency of Merseburg 8 (Naumburg - Weißenfels - Zeitz). From 1887 to 1898 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency administrative district Merseburg 8 ( Naumburg , Weißenfels , Zeitz ) and the National Liberal Party .
