Julius Hermann Schultes (born February 4, 1804 in Vienna , † September 1, 1840 in Munich ) was a German botanist born in Austria . Its official botanical author abbreviation is “ Schult.f. "

Live and act

Schultes was the son of the physician , botanist and natural scientist Joseph August Schultes (1773-1831). He completed his medical studies at the University of Landshut with a doctorate in medicine. He practiced in Landshut and Munich.

His younger brother, who was also called Julius Hermann Schultes (1820–1887), was an Austrian doctor and botanist. Its botanical author abbreviation is " JHSchult.bis ".
