Julius Mentz

Julius Mentz (born January 29, 1845 in Brakupönen ; † March 21, 1927 in Gumbinnen ) was a domain tenant and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Mentz attended high school in Insterburg from 1858 to 1863. He studied agriculture in Jena and Berlin from 1868 to 1871. From 1864 he was a practical farmer and from 1875 to 1905 tenant of the Royal Domain Kampischkehmen . He was also chairman of the agricultural district association Gumbinnen , head of office and registrar.

From 1893 to 1912 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the Reichstag electoral district Gumbinnen 3 and the German Conservative Party . Between 1893 and 1913 he was also a member of the Prussian House of Representatives .
