Julius Rudolph von Klingsporn († after 1794) was a Prussian colonel and regimental commander .

Life

origin

Julius Rudolph von Klingsporn came from the Prussian house Groß - und Klein Blaustein of the noble family Klingsporn . He was a grandson of the Brandenburg colonel and regimental commander Johann von Klingsporn (* 1605, † 1685).

Military career

He joined the Kanitz Regiment in 1750 and was promoted to ensign in July 1754 . In the regiment he took part in the Seven Years' War, rose to prime lieutenant in 1763 and, as such, entered the Königsberg garrison . In April 1770 he was promoted to captain and in April 1776 to major . In 1780 he took over the Hacksche Grenadier Battalion and was promoted to lieutenant colonel on May 24, 1785 . Colonel Duke Holstein-Beck took over the grenadier battalion "von Klingspor" No. 4 on December 30, 1786, while Klingsporn finally became colonel and commander of the Füselierregiment v. Götzen was appointed in Glatz . He remained in this position until 1794. His successor as regiment chief of infantry regiment No. 33 was Major General Theodor Philipp von Pfau in 1794 .
