Julius Stahn

Julius Emanuel Stahn (born November 11, 1898 in Berlin ; † May 26, 1945 in Landsberg an der Warthe ) was a German lawyer and ministerial official.

Life

After attending grammar school in Berlin-Zehlendorf and Blankenburg, Stahn completed his school career in 1917 with a secondary school diploma and then briefly took part in the First World War as a soldier . In 1918 he started studying law at the University of Berlin , which he finished in 1922 with the first state examination in law. Afterwards doctorate in 1923 he at the University of Giessen to Dr. jur. and passed the second state examination in law after completing his legal clerkship in 1926. Then he was a court assessor in Potsdam. From 1928 he was consistorial assessor and from 1930 consistorial councilor at the Church of the Old Prussian Union . He was also in 1930 as Councilor promoted in the Ministry of Science, Art and Education worked and was there in 1932 for upper government.

After the handover of power to the National Socialists , Stahn joined the NSDAP on May 1, 1933 . He also belonged to the NS organizations NSV , the NS-Rechtsswahrerbund , the NS-Beamtenbund and the Reichsluftschutzbund . After being appointed Ministerialrat in 1934, Stahn moved in 1935 from the Reich Ministry for Science, Education and National Education to the Reich Ministry for Church Affairs , where he worked until 1945. In 1937 he was promoted to ministerial conductor as successor to Hermann von Detten .

After the end of the war he was interned by the Soviets and died in May 1945 in the special camp in Landsberg (Warthe) .
