Julius von Egloffstein (lawyer)
Gottlob Julius Christian Karl Freiherr von und zu Egloffstein (born September 9, 1809 in Erlangen , † February 18, 1884 in Jena ) was a Saxon Grand Ducal Chamberlain and President of the Thuringian Higher Regional Court.
Life
Julius came from the noble family von Egloffstein . He studied at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg . With Philipp von Zu Rhein and Eduard von Bomhard he became active in the Corps Bavaria Würzburg in 1829 . He was the first president of the Thuringian Higher Regional Court . The city made him an honorary citizen .

Egloffstein married Marie Vitzthum von Egersberg (1817–1885) on July 11, 1843 . The following children were born from the marriage:

- Heinrich von und zu Egloffstein (1845–1914), Prussian general of the infantry
- Auguste Wilhelmine Karoline (1850–1934) ∞ Bernhard Sigmund Schultze , professor of gynecology at the Jena University Women's Clinic
- Wilhelm von und zu Egloffstein (1853–1929), Prussian general of the infantry
- Leonhard (1846–1870), Prussian lieutenant, killed in the battle of Épinay-sur-Seine near Paris (November 30, 1870)
