Junior Torunarigha (born April 18, 1990 in Ibadan , Nigeria ) is a German- Nigerian soccer player .

Player career

Junior Torunarigha had played in the youth team of SV Fortuna Furth Glösa before moving to the youth department of Chemnitzer FC in 2001 . In 2006 he joined Hertha BSC's B youth team. At Hertha he was promoted to the second team by coach Karsten Heine in 2009 . There Torunarigha scored six goals in 24 games in the Regionalliga season 2009/10 and secured relegation with his club. In 2010/11 he scored five goals in 22 appearances.

After the end of the season he left Berlin and joined Rot-Weiß Oberhausen in the 3rd division . There he injured himself in preparation, which meant he missed the start of the 2011/12 season. After his recovery, Torunarigha played his first competitive game against Werder Bremen's second team on matchday 11 when he came on for Marvin Ellmann in the 62nd minute .

On August 2, 2013 Toruranrigha signed a one-year contract with the regional league club FC Carl Zeiss Jena after a three-week trial training session . After being out of a club on July 1, 2014, he joined ZFC Meuselwitz at the end of August 2014 . A year later followed the change to the promoted from the league, the FC Amberg , with which Torunarigha missed relegation in the regional league. He then went to the Dutch second division Fortuna Sittard for one season . In June 2017 he moved to Alemannia Aachen . He signed a contract that ran until June 30, 2018.

For the 2018/19 season he went to the Polish first division club Zagłębie Sosnowiec . His contract was terminated in December 2018.

Private

Torunarigha's father is former second division professional and coach Ojokojo Torunarigha . His younger brother Jordan Torunarigha is under contract with Hertha BSC .
