Junius Paul

Junius Paul (* around 1987) is an American jazz musician ( double bass , electric bass ).

Live and act

Paul grew up in the Chicago area and studied at St. Xavier University . In addition to jazz, he has so far also worked in the fields of hip-hop , house music , funk , classical and gospel . In the field of jazz he was involved in seven recording sessions between 2007 and 2014, including a. with Dee Alexander , Ernest Dawkins , Kahil El'Zabar , Makaya McCraven ( Universal Beings , 2018), Nicole Mitchell and Corey Wilkes . He currently (2015) plays in the Roscoe Mitchell Quartet with Tomeka Reid and Vincent Davis . His optical trademark are patterned tights or knitted tights, which he wears both as street clothing and when performing.
