Justin Joseph McCarthy (born November 26, 1900 in Sayre , Pennsylvania , USA , † December 26, 1959 in Elizabeth , New Jersey ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and Bishop of Camden .

Life

Justin Joseph McCarthy attended St. Mary of the Assumption School . McCarthy studied Philosophy and Catholic Theology at the Pontifical North America College in Rome . On April 16, 1927, he received the sacrament of ordination .

On March 27, 1954, Pope Pius XII appointed him . the titular bishop of Doberus and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Newark . The Archbishop of Newark, Thomas Aloysius Boland , donated him episcopal ordination on June 11 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Paterson , James Aloysius McNulty , and the Bishop of Camden, Bartholomew Joseph Eustace . On January 27, 1957 Pius XII appointed him. to the Bishop of Camden.
