Justus Müller was the son of the superintendent Justus Müller , who was transferred from Mandesen in the Duchy of Wolfenbüttel to Ronnenberg , and his wife, a nee Wiedeburgen. Born in the year before the beginning of the Thirty Years' War , Müller took over the post of Rector of the City School of Hanover, the later Ratsgymnasium or Lyceum, shortly after the end of the war in the royal seat of Hanover as the successor to Eberhard Baring .

In 1678, the year Müller died, Hermannus Jacobi succeeded him.

A listed tombstone with two family coats of arms for a female family member who died in 1654 was preserved today as an epitaph in public space from the school principal Justus Müller , which was attached to the inner wall of the Nikolaikapelle .
