Jusztin Nándor Takács OCD (born January 15, 1927 in Rábacsanak ; † July 11, 2016 ) was a Hungarian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Székesfehérvár .

Life

Jusztin Nándor Takács joined the order of the Discalced Carmelites and was ordained a priest on October 28, 1951 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Székesfehérvár and titular bishop of Carcabia on December 23, 1988 . The Archbishop of Esztergom , Cardinal László Paskai OFM , donated him episcopal ordination on January 11 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were László Dankó , Archbishop of Kalocsa , and István Seregély , Archbishop of Eger .

On March 31, 1990 he was appointed coadjutor bishop of Székesfehérvár. When Gyula Szakos retired on September 13, 1991, he succeeded him as Bishop of Székesfehérvár. On April 4, 2003, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
