Jutta Koch-Unterseher

Jutta Koch-Unterseher (born October 11, 1961 in Marl ) is a Berlin politician ( SPD ). She has been a member of the House of Representatives since 2006 . On September 25, 2008, she resigned her mandate as a member of the Berlin House of Representatives for personal reasons.

Life, studies, work

Jutta Koch-Unterseher is married and has two children. She lived in Bottrop , Bonn and Munich . From 1980 to 1987 she studied German, history and politics. Between 1988 and 1992 Koch-Unterseher worked as a journalist for the Bonner Rundschau, completed an internship at the Hessischer Rundfunk and was a research assistant at the University of Bonn . Since 1992 she has been a consultant in the administration of the German Bundestag. She earned her doctorate in 1997 for her work on US foreign and defense policy. She has been a freelance staff councilor since 2000 and has lived in Berlin-Moabit since July 2000 . From 2001 to 2006, Koch-Unterseher was a lecturer at the Otto Suhr Institute at the Free University . After resigning her mandate in 2008, she has been working in the Senate Department for Education, Science and Research in Berlin since October 2008, then in the Senate Department for Economics, Technology and Research and currently in the Senate Chancellery .

In 1990 Jutta Koch-Unterseher joined the SPD and was district councilor in Bottrop from 1994 to 1999. From 2002 to 2005 Ms. Koch-Unterseher was deputy chairwoman, since 2006 chairwoman, of the 7th department (Bellevue), which belongs to the SPD district Mitte. From 2004 to 2005 she was a member of the board of the SPD Mitte, and since 2004 a district and state party congress delegate. In the Berlin House of Representatives election in 2006 , Ms. Koch-Unterseher was elected as a candidate for the Mitte 3 constituency in the Berlin House of Representatives.
