The Käppele is a Roman Catholic chapel in Königshofen in the Main-Tauber district , which was built in 1898. In 1991 a renovation took place.

The chapel is located on the edge of the forest about 100 meters above the K2832, which connects Königshofen with Lauda .

Chapel building and equipment

In 1898 the Käppele was built as a neo-Gothic chapel. In 1928 a sandstone slab was built into the back of the chapel, depicting a crucifixion group. These are the remains of the oldest surviving Königshöfer wayside shrine from the 15th century.
