Tyler Graovac (* 27. April 1993 in Brampton , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who since July 2019 with the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League is under contract and in parallel for their farm team , the Utica Comets , in the American Hockey League on the position of the center plays.

Career

Graovac spent all of his junior years in the Ontario Hockey League between 2009 and 2013 . He first played for the Ottawa 67’s for three and a half years before being transferred to title contender Belleville Bulls in January 2013 . There he missed winning the championship trophy , but he was awarded Power Forward at the end of the season for his sporting spirit and fairness with the William Hanley Trophy . In addition, he sat down at the awards ceremonies throughout the Canadian Hockey League against the winner of the equivalent trophies of the Western Hockey League and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League , Dylan Wruck and Zach O'Brien , by and received the title of the CHL Sportsman of the year .

After Graovac had already been selected in the seventh round in the seventh round by the Minnesota Wild from the National Hockey League in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft , he was signed by the same in April 2013 and was from the beginning of the 2013/14 season in the American Hockey League used on the Iowa Wild farm team . Graovac was also part of his squad in the following two game years, although he also made his debut in the NHL for Minnesota and made five appearances in the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons. In July 2016, the franchise extended the expiring contract of the striker, who found himself again in the AHL at the beginning of the 2016/17 season and ran there until the end of October 2016, before he was part of the Minnesota Wild squad until mid-February 2017.

After four years in the franchise wild Graovac mid-June 2017 was in exchange for a fifth-round vote in the NHL Entry Draft in 2018 to the Washington Capitals made. There he did not receive a new contract in the summer of 2018, so he signed a one-year contract with the Calgary Flames as a free agent in July 2018 . In the same way, he moved to the Vancouver Canucks in July 2019 .
