location

It extends between the Bastau River , the old town and the incorporated districts of Hahlen , Bärenkämpen and Rodenbeck . Königstor has 8,929 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2008).

history

Königstor takes its name from a gate of the former Minden fortress . Behind this, the settlement developed along today's Königstrasse, the business center of the district.

Townscape

Today Königstor is characterized by apartment buildings and a diverse, independent club and business life. The Minden museum railway runs through Königstor . The Goethepark is located in the area of the district as the “green lung”.
