Artist regulars table

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Künstlerstammtisch , sometimes also Der Künstlerstammtisch , was a television program of the SFB produced by Wolfgang Rademann and hosted by Gustav Knuth . The first edition of the 45-minute show went on February 5, 1973 on the station. One month before the later the evening went on air, the artist regulars table is one of the first successful talk show experiments on German television. The last artist regulars table ran in 1976.

concept

The concept was very simple, and in principle was already expressed comprehensively in the title of the show. Four guests (usually artists, only rarely other celebrities) came together with Knuth on the show and exchanged anecdotes (sometimes there were indiscretions about fellow artists). The show decoration then also represented a regulars' table in a pub.

music

The title and closing music for the regulars' table was The Entertainer by Scott Joplin .

admission

The series was a success. Received divided by the criticism, Knuth received the Golden Camera of the Hörzu (readers' vote) in 1975 for his artist regulars table as the best talk show host, a record published in 1976 for the broadcast received the German record award the following year.
