Kestutis Tubis
Kęstutis Tubis (born June 23, 1960 in Shiroki Log near Yenisisk , Krasnoyarsk Region , Siberia ) is a Lithuanian liberal politician , mayor of Anykščiai district since 2015 , former police commissioner of Lithuania .
Life
From 1967 to 1971 he attended the Latavėnai School and from 1971 to 1978 the Troškūnai Middle School at Anykščiai . In 1978 he worked in the "Aukštakalnio" kolkhoz as a tractor driver and in 1981 in Panevėžys . From 1981 to 1985 he completed his studies in Gorki and became a lawyer . From 1985 he worked in the Panevėžys township militia , from 1991 to 1996 as a police superintendent of the Panevėžys criminal police , from 1996 to 1997 in Šiauliai . 1997–1998 he headed the Anykščiai police station . From 1999 he worked on the police department at the Ministry of Interior of Lithuania . From 2004 to 2008 he was Deputy Police Commissioner General. In local elections in Lithuania in 2015 , he was directly elected mayor of Rajongemeinde chosen Anykščiai.
Tubis is a member of the Lietuvos Respublikos liberalų sąjūdis party .
