The steam locomotives "ORION" and "LUCIFER" were freight locomotives of the KFNB . They were delivered to KFNB by Kessler in Esslingen in 1848 with the axle formula 2'B. The machines were probably similar to the "ELEPHANT" of the Hessian Northern Railway . After 1853 , modifications were made to the boiler and wheels (see table).

The locomotives were used as freight locomotives around Ostrau . They were later used in the shunting service in Vienna .

The machines were retired in 1876 and 1877 .
