The locomotive class KZ4A the railroad from Kazakhstan 's (KTZ) is a four-axle express train locomotive with AC electrified railway lines. The locomotive was developed by the CRRC electric locomotive plant in Zhuzhou in cooperation with Siemens . These locomotives were needed by the KTZ for the transport of express trains with 160 km / h. Around the year 2000, this was only possible with the ТЭП70 diesel locomotive . It was also intended to replace the obsolete locomotives of the ВЛ80 series from passenger traffic.
history
In the corresponding tender in 2001, the Zhuzhou electric locomotive works from the People's Republic of China won the competition. In November 2001, the contract was signed for the construction of three locomotives at first between the two sides, the value was 9.378 million US dollars .
The designed locomotives are similar to the Chinese locomotives DJ , DJ1 and DJ2 ( Olympic Star ) and other electric locomotives for alternating current. Each bogie is equipped with a common frequency converter based on GTO thyristors of type TEP28WG04 .
These first three locomotives were used on the Spanish Talgo 200 high-speed trains between Nur-Sultan and Almaty .
The first locomotive was launched on December 12. Delivered in March 2004, together with two other locomotives, it arrived in Kazakhstan . On the 18th July 2004, the trial was over, and on 22. The scheduled operation of the locomotives began in July. In 2006 two more locomotives with road numbers 0004 and 0005 were delivered. These locomotives differed from the first locomotives and a. through other compressors and control systems as well as through a modified front section.
The locomotives of the KZ4A series can be described as the first successful project of a new construction locomotive at the KTZ. The picture of the locomotive was shown on many advertising materials, video films and posters of the manufacturer and the KTZ.
business
In January 2007, each locomotive in the first delivery had a monthly mileage of 50,000 km. On 22. In October 2008 the KTZ placed another order for 22 locomotives with a total amount of 100 million US $. These locomotives were given the index C for identification . They had integrated an improved SIBAS control system from Siemens. This enabled the control of the traction motors to be optimized so that the tendency to skid was reduced and the load distribution between the drive axles could be improved. This automatically regulates the pulling force and speed. The horn is installed on the roof of the new locomotives; on the older locomotives it was instead housed between the front lights and hidden behind a grille. The weight of the new locomotives could be reduced to 84 t.
In the second series, all of the electrical equipment from Siemens was used. The only Chinese elements were the mechanical part and the locomotive body . The electrical power section of these locomotives is identical to that of the Uzbek series O'ZY .
The locomotives with the road numbers 0007 - 0027 are used in high-quality train service. You can find them on the routes
- between Nur-Sultan and Almaty No. 01/02 ( Talgo ), No. 09/10;
- between Pavlodar and Almaty No. 045/046;
- between Petropawl and Almaty No. 051/052 and no. 151/152 (Talgo);
- between Qostanai and Almaty No. 043/044;
- and between Yekaterinburg and Almaty No. 301Z / 302Z
as well as others.
The locomotives of the first series (company numbers 0001 to 0005 ) also run on high-quality connections, but have the role of operating reserve in the event of failure of the main locomotive.
Technical parameters
- Transmission ratio of the transmission = 3.91 (90/23);
- calculated tensile force = 206 kN;
- Starting tractive effort = 264 kN;
- Mass of the locomotive = 85.5 t
- Axle load = 21.4 t
- Number of driven axles = 4
The traction and braking force is transmitted from the bogies to the frame via control arms. The JD-116B traction motors are connected to the bogies with the supporting frame suspension . The power transmission from the traction motors to the pair of wheels is one-sided and straight-toothed. A special feature is the transmission of the torque via the hollow shaft drive .
construction
The locomotives have mechanical braking systems from Siemens. The brake is designed as a disc brake without brake linkage and other mechanical elements. This mechanism has proven itself in ten years of operation. The pneumatic systems are supplied by two screw compressors from Knorr-Bremse . The locomotives have single-arm pantographs of the type DSA-250 .
