Georges Bidault was Prime Minister between 1949 and 1950

The Bidault II cabinet was formed on October 28, 1949 by Prime Minister (Président du Conseil) Georges Bidault and replaced the Queuille I cabinet , which had been overthrown on October 5, 1949. The government consisted of representatives of the Mouvement républicain populaire (MRP), Section française de l'Internationale ouvrière (SFIO), Parti républicain, radical et radical-socialiste (PRS), Union démocratique et socialiste de la Résistance (UDSR), Center national des indépendants (CNI) and the Parti paysan d'union sociale (PP) together.

The second Bidault government was in office until February 7, 1950, when it was replaced by the Bidault III cabinet, also formed by Georges Bidault . During the tenure of the second Bidault government, the High Commissariat for Fuels (Haut Commissariat au Ravitaillement) was dissolved on November 30, 1949 and rationing ended.
