Cabinet Koehler (Baden)

The Köhler cabinet formed the state government of Baden from May 6, 1933 to April 4, 1945 .

With an announcement of May 6, 1933, Reichsstatthalter Wagner appointed Walter Köhler as Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Economics. On May 8, the Minister of Culture, Education and Justice, Otto Wacker, was appointed his deputy.

In the course of the renovation of the State of a centralized state one was on December 5th, 1934 Second Law to reconcile the administration of justice in the kingdom passed which decreed the dissolution of the justice ministries of the countries on January 1, 1935, and the state justice departments reporting directly to the Minister of Justice of the empire.

Otto Wacker died on February 14, 1940 and on May 28 it was announced that Paul Schmitthenner had been entrusted with the management of the affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Education. The inauguration took place on June 4, 1940. In the meantime, the business had been led by Ministerialdirektor Gärtner.

Köhler was captured by French troops in Karlsruhe on April 4, 1945. On April 5, Reichsstatthalter Wagner commissioned the Mayor of Freiburg , Franz Kerber , to carry out Köhler's duties as Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Economics. On April 29, all of Baden was occupied by American and French troops.
