Shehu II cabinet

The Shehu II cabinet was a government of the People's Socialist Republic of Albania , which was formed on June 22, 1958 by Prime Minister Mehmet Shehu of the Party of Labor of Albania PPSh (Partia e Punës e Shqipërisë) . It replaced the Shehu I cabinet and remained in office until July 13, 1962, after which it was replaced by the Shehu III cabinet .

The government reshuffle followed parliamentary elections and did not result in any significant changes. The most prominent change was the withdrawal from the government of Hysni Kapo , previously Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Agriculture. Kapo was referred to as "number three" in the state and was henceforth only in the Politburo and in the Secretariat of the Central Committee , to which he had belonged since the 1956 party congress . Also Ramiz Alia , after Hoxha's death, his successor, resigned from the government: he became chairman of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the National Assembly (Kuvendi Popullor) . Next replaced koço theodhosi the Chairman of the State Planning Commission spiro koleka , but which continues to First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers remained. Health Minister Manush Myftiu took over the Ministry of Education and Culture from Alia and became Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers. Gogo Nushi lost the role of Vice-Chairman but remained Minister of Commerce and Communications. A new member of the government was Adil Çarçani , later Prime Minister who served as Minister for Industry, Mining and Geology.
