Kacey Mottet Klein ([keˌsimoˌtɛˈklɛ̃], born October 20, 1998 in Bussigny-près-Lausanne ) is a Swiss actor from the canton of Vaud .

Life

Kacey Mottet Klein grew up in Bussigny-près-Lausanne with his mother and adoptive father. Thanks to his father's origins, he also has an American passport.

In the film Home he played Julien, the ten-year-old son of a family that lives right on a motorway. For this role he was awarded the Swiss Film Prize in 2009 for “Best Young Acting Talent”.

Kacey Mottet Klein won the Swiss Film Prize 2013 as the main actor in the film Winter Thief , directed by Ursula Meier . In this film he plays the twelve-year-old Simon who steals from ski tourists in order to make ends meet for himself and the older Louise, who pretends to be his sister. Mottet Klein also received a César nomination for this film role in 2013 .

In 2016 he was honored as a Shooting Star at the Berlin International Film Festival after the presentation of his film Mit Seventeen (directed by André Téchiné ) .

Mottet Klein has lived in Brussels with his girlfriend since 2015 .
