The Kahlbach , also called Mühlscheider Bach , is a 2.1 km long orographic left tributary of the Ruwer in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Trier-Saarburg , Germany .

The stream rises about 1.4 km southeast of Kell am See at an altitude of about 518 m above sea level. NN . From here it flows primarily in a north-westerly direction and flows out about 1.3 km southwest of Kell at 440 m above sea level. NN in the Ruwer .
The Kahlbach overcomes a height difference of 78 m on its 2.1 km long path, which corresponds to a mean bed gradient of 37.1 ‰. It drains an 8.027 km² catchment area via Ruwer , Moselle and Rhine to the North Sea .
The Rothbach is a tributary of the Kahlbach .
