Jermaine "Kahu" Joyce (born March 28, 1994 in Christchurch ) is a New Zealand ice hockey player who has played for the Mustangs IHC in the Australian Ice Hockey League and the Melbourne Sharks in the Ice Hockey Victoria Premier League since 2018 .

Career

Kahu Joyce began his career with the Canterbury Red Devils , for whom he made his debut in the New Zealand Ice Hockey League in 2010 . After spending the 2012 season with league rivals West Auckland Admirals , he interrupted his career and only played for the Botany Swarm in the NZIHL again from 2016 . In 2018 he moved to Australia and has since played for the Mustangs IHC in the Australian Ice Hockey League and for the Melbourne Sharks in the lower class Ice Hockey Victoria Premier League, which he won with the club in 2018.

International

For New Zealand, Joyce played in the junior division at the U18 World Championships in 2010 and 2012 when he was voted the best defender of the tournament, in Division III and in 2011 in Division II and in the U20 World Championship in Division III in 2012 .

For the New Zealand men's national team , Joyce took part in the 2018 World Cup in Division II for the first time.
