Kai Bergmann

Kai Bergmann (* 1973 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German graphic designer and professor for interdisciplinary design.

Life

Kai Bergmann studied visual communication with a focus on typography and conceptual design with Klaus Hesse , Friedrich Friedl and Franz Mon at the Hochschule für Gestaltung . Together with Boris Banoziç and Sebastian Seitz, he ran the “dreizueins®” agency in Frankfurt am Main from 2005 to 2008 . In 2008 he founded the Bergmann Studios design office in Frankfurt and London. Among other things, the office is largely responsible for the corporate designs of Gamescom , Nippon Connection and the Critique Week , Berlin. Bergmann's work has received national and international awards.

From 2003 to 2010 he taught regularly as a lecturer in communication design at the HfG Offenbach and in 2008 was a substitute professor in the design department at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences . Since 2010 Kai Bergmann has been heading the "Interdisciplinary Design" course at the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Design .

Bergmann is a member of the Art Directors Club Germany, the German Designer Club and was a member of the Type Directors Club New York City for several years . He was a juror in competitions such as the BFF Professional Association of Free Photographers and Film Designers , the “Junior Agency” of the General Association of Communication Agencies and the international poster competition “Courage to Fury”.
