The Kaidu ( Chinese  开 都 河 , Pinyin Kāidū Hé ) is a river in the Uyghur Autonomous Region of Xinjiang in the west of the People's Republic of China .

The Kaidu has its source in the Tian Shan . It initially flows west into the Yulduz Basin . There he turns south and finally east and reaches the Yanqi Basin . After flowing through the administrative center of the Yanqi Autonomous County , the Kaidu forms a river delta and flows into the Boston Lake . The Kaidu has a length of 497 km and drains an area of ​​31,750 km².
