description

Vegetative characteristics

Kalanchoe paniculata is a biennial , completely bare plant that reaches heights of up to 130 centimeters and is waxy-floury, ripe-like covered. The simple, upright, strong shoots are almost square at their base. The fleshy, almost rosette-like leaves are slightly stalked or sessile. The flat, barely stem encompassing petiole is up to 5 centimeters long. The oblong ovoid, broadly obovate, spatulate to almost circular, green to yellowish green, somewhat red-tinged leaf blade is 6 to 20 centimeters long and 4 to 16 centimeters wide. Its tip is blunt to rounded, the base narrowed and sloping down. The leaf margin is entire.

Generative characteristics

The dense inflorescence consists of flachkopfigen, ebensträußigen panicles or cymes of up to 40 centimeters in length. The upright flowers are on 4 to 7 millimeter long peduncles . Your calyx is green, the calyx tube 1 to 2 millimeters long. The triangular, pointed calyx lobes are 1 to 3.4 millimeters long and 1.5 to 2 millimeters wide. The cylindrical to almost pyramidal, clearly square, yellowish green corolla tube is enlarged towards its base and 10 to 12 millimeters long. Their egg-shaped, yellow-green, yellow to orange-yellow, at the end suddenly bent back corolla lobes have an attached tip. They are 2 to 4 millimeters long and 1.5 to 3 millimeters wide. The stamens are attached above the center of the corolla tube. The upper stamens protrude from the flower. The elongated to egg-shaped anthers are 0.7 to 1 millimeter long. The elongated or linear, trimmed or edged nectar flakes have a length of 2.5 to 3 millimeters and are about 0.5 millimeters wide. The carpel has a length of 8 to 9 millimeters. The stylus is 1 to 2 millimeters long.

The seeds reach a length of about 1 millimeter.

Systematics and distribution
