Vegetative characteristics
Kalanchoe petitiana is a perennial , bald or downy-haired plant that reaches heights of growth of 30 to 70 centimeters and forms dense groups. Its stalk-round shoots branching towards the tip are recumbent and upright at their base and have a diameter of up to 3 centimeters. The fleshy leaves are petiolate. The petiole is 2.5 to 4 inches long. The broadly elliptical, obovate-elongated to ovate leaf blade is 6 to 16 inches long and 4 to 11 inches wide. Its tip is rounded, the base suddenly wedge-shaped to almost heart-shaped. The leaf margin is irregularly crenated or toothed.
Generative characteristics
The dense inflorescence is somewhat flat-headed and 60 to 200 centimeters long. The upright, sweet-smelling flowers are on 5 to 10 millimeter long flower stalks . Your calyx tube is 0.5 to 1 millimeter long. The linear-triangular, sharply pointed calyx lobes are 7 to 12 millimeters long and 1.3 to 2 millimeters wide. The corolla is pale yellow or magenta to white and tinged pink. The cylindrical-conical corolla tube , inflated at the base, is 14 to 20 millimeters long. Their blunt, elongated corolla lobes have an attached tip. They are 6 to 7 millimeters long and 3.5 to 5 millimeters wide. The upper stamens protrude from the flower. The linear nectar flakes have a length of 2.5 to 3.5 millimeters and are 0.4 to 0.5 millimeters wide. The elongated carpel has a length of 7 to 12 millimeters. The stylus is 8 to 10 millimeters long.
