Kaljuschynzi ( Ukrainian Калюжинці ; Russian Калюжинцы Kaljuschinzy ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast of Chernihiv with about 500 inhabitants (2004).
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1716, is the only place in the 3.665 km² district council of the same name in the northwest of Sribne Rajon .
The village is located on the Utka ( Утка ), a 16 km long tributary of the Horyn , 3 km north of the trunk road N 07 , about 18 km northwest of the Rajon center Sribne and about 200 km southeast of the Oblast capital Chernihiv .
Personalities
The Ukrainian kobzar Ostap Weressai was born in the village in 1803 and died and was buried in the neighboring village of Sokyrynzi in 1890 .
