The Rajon Sribne (Ukrainian Срібнянський район / Sribnjanskyj rajon ; Russian Сребнянский район / Srebjanski rajon ) is a Rajon in the Ukrainian Oblast of Chernihiv . The Rajon has a population of 14,534 (2012) and is the smallest in Chernihiv Oblast with an area of ​​579 km² . The administrative seat of the Rajon is the eponymous city of Sribne , which is not itself part of the Rajon. There are 2 urban-type settlements , 11 parishes and 28 villages in Sribne Raion .

The Rajon is located southeast of Chernihiv Oblast and borders in the northeast and north on the Rajon Talalakivka , in the northwest on the Rajon Itschnja , in the west and southwest on the Rajon Pryluky , in the south on the Rajon Varwa and in the west and southwest on the Rajon Romny , which is located in Sumy Oblast . It is also located around 150 km southeast of Chernihiv and 170 km northeast of Kiev as the crow flies . To Kiev, Chernihiv and other cities there are various long-distance modes of transport so that you can easily reach different cities.
