Kam Air is an Afghan airline based in Kabul and based at Kabul Airport .
history
The company was founded in 2003 and started national and international scheduled flight operations.
Kam Air was placed on the list of operating bans for the airspace of the European Union in November 2010 . It is therefore subject to an entry ban for Europe.
On January 20, 2018, a total of 40 Kam Air employees were in the Inter-Continental Hotel in Kabul , which was stormed by terrorists that day. Nine crew members fell victim to the attack, and many other company employees were traumatized . Kam Air then significantly reduced the number of its daily flights.
Destinations
Kam Air flies to domestic and Middle Eastern destinations from Kabul . In 2010 there was a connection to Vienna , the first to Europe . Due to safety deficiencies, however, an immediate ban on entry into the EU was imposed after the first flight.

Incidents
- On September 16, 2004, an Antonov An-24 came off the runway when landing in Kabul, and no one was injured.
- On February 3, 2005 from could Herat coming Boeing 737-200 of Kam Air, operated by the Kyrgyz Phoenix Aviation ( aircraft marks EX-037 ), not as planned because of a snowstorm Kabul ( Afghanistan land). It crashed about 30 kilometers east in the mountains and was only found two days later. All 105 inmates were killed.
